Many films today seem to have a plot that is not only predictable, but also tends to leave the viewer on the outside. Many of these movies are nowhere near enjoyable because you are never allowed to truly experience the feelings and interactions of the characters.

It’s nice to have our feelings validated once in a while, and sometimes these little nods of approval just need to be sought out. While many of our 80s movie favorites go unappreciated by others (say, significant others, friends, family members, children, parents or spouses) their place on the movie shelf has been earned by more than sheer personal enjoyment. What many may have forgotten, or never known, is that some of our 80s favorites were Academy favorites as well!
